ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — Ross County Humane Society in Ohio is getting closer to their goal of building a new animal shelter, but they still need $300,000 to make it a reality.
In a Facebook post, Executive Director Jenn T. informed followers that the society is working tirelessly behind the scenes while continuing to focus on caring for animals. To advance the project, a contractor was recently out drilling soil samples, and they are hopeful to soon reach the groundbreaking stage. The building, officials say, will be a “7,000 square foot facility with air quality, noise reduction, and enhanced disease control measures.”

The shelter is appealing to donors to help fund the remaining amount, and interested parties can visit their website at rosscountyhumanesociety.org or email them at [email protected] to sponsor a portion of the building.
