CHILLICOTHE, Ohio —– Chillicothe City Council will meet for its regular session on April 10th, at 7:00 PM to discuss various legislation. Among the issues on the agenda are several resolutions granting use of city streets for community events and two ordinances regarding emergency management.

One resolution up for its third reading expresses cooperation and grants use of a portion of Paint Street to Downtown Chillicothe Brewfest. Another third reading resolution grants use of the City Park and surrounding streets for the annual Feast of the Flowering Moon and Memorial Day parade.

In addition, a second reading resolution grants use of a portion of East Second Street for the Downtown Chillicothe Organization’s annual Oktoberfest event.

Two ordinances are also up for their first reading. The first ordinance approves pay rate increases for emergency management personnel in accordance with the City’s joint relationship with Ross County Commissioners and appropriates funds to pay the City’s annual countywide Emergency Management Agreement invoice. The second ordinance appropriates funds to cover the cost of the City’s subscription for the “Wireless Emergency Notification Center” (WENS).

Finally, a final resolution will be enacted by the City of Chillicothe regarding the S.R. 50 and S.R. 772 Paving Project.

The public is invited to attend the meeting, which will be held at the council chambers.
