CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Police are investigating a reported burglary at an apartment located in the 400 block of East 2nd Street. According to the police report, on Wednesday officers made contact with the resident who reported that a young black male had forcibly entered the apartment through the back door the previous night.

The resident stated the man kicked in the door and entered the apartment. The resident confronted the intruder, who claimed he was there to speak with someone named Alisha. After being informed that no one by that name resided there, the male left the apartment and ran upstairs before exiting the building.

The resident also reported witnessing a car pulling up behind the building, occupied by three other young black males and a younger white female driver. The resident did not recognize any of the individuals. The only identifiable feature of the male who kicked in the door, the woman said, was he had “black shaggy hair.”

The officer documented the damage to the back door and took photographs as evidence. Currently, there are no further leads or follow-up investigations in this case.
