LONDONDERRY, Ohio — Crews battled a house fire in Londonderry on Wednesday.

It happened at around 5:30 p.m. in the 2000 block of route 327.

The house was engulfed in smoke when firefighters arrived, who immediately called for assistance from neighboring townships.

Deputies assisted in clearing the area and moving a Jeep that was parked in front of the house.

Temperatures hovered above 80 degrees as more than a dozen first responders wore heavy gear to battle the blaze. The area was also under a “red flag” burn warning for much of the day.

The cause of the fire was not immediately released.
