WASHINGTON D.C. — Approximately 450,000 baby bibs and security blankets are being recalled due to concerns that the care instructions label could detach, potentially creating a choking hazard, as reported by the Consumer Product Safety Commission.

The recall pertains to products from the brand Little Sleepies, specifically their Sleepyhead Lovey and Bandana Bib, available in various colors. These items were sold through the brand’s website and boutique stores across the nation from February 2021 to September 2023, with prices ranging from $12 to $48.
The decision to initiate the recall came after Little Sleepies received two reports of instruction labels becoming detached from the Lovey. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported thus far.
Consumers who have purchased these products are strongly encouraged to take immediate action. They can either remove the care instruction label themselves or return the items. Little Sleepies recommends cutting the tag off close to the seam. Moreover, the company is offering pre-paid shipping through its website and providing full refunds for customers who prefer this option.
As for the refund process, Little Sleepies stated on their website that it will occur after receiving the returned package and reviewing the item, a procedure that might take approximately 10-12 weeks. Subsequently, a refund check will be mailed to the address indicated on the return label.
To obtain more information about this recall, consumers can contact Little Sleepies via email at hello@littlesleepies.com or call 866-330-3353 during business hours (9 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET, Monday through Friday).
