CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — In a heartwarming display of solidarity, the community is rallying together for Ross County teenager in need of a new organ.
The Xander McConnell Transplant Benefit will take place this Saturday, December 2, from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. at VFW #108 on 115 East Main Street, Chillicothe.
Proceeds from the benefit will go towards offsetting medical costs and supporting Xander as he prepares for an upcoming kidney transplant. Xander has courageously battled kidney disease over the past year, according to event organizers.
The event, open to the public, promises an evening filled with camaraderie and fun. Attendees can enjoy a baked spaghetti dinner for $8, purchase items from a bake sale, try their luck with a 50/50 raffle, and bid on items in a silent auction.
There will be live music by “Nick at Nite,” who promises to create a vibrant atmosphere for all who attend. Notably, the event encourages attendees to wear green in honor of Kidney Disease awareness.
For those unable to attend but still wishing to contribute, donations can be made at Cash.app/$HeatherMac1822.
