POMEROY, Ohio — On February 21st, Meigs County Deputies were kept busy responding to a variety of calls throughout the day. Here’s a rundown of the incidents they attended to:
At 4:46 AM, deputies received a noise complaint on Happy Hollow Rd in Middleport. Upon arrival, they addressed the issue with the neighbor, warning them of potential disorderly conduct charges if the disturbance persisted.
Shortly after, at 7:01 AM, deputies were called to investigate a report of a suspicious person on Noble Summit Rd in Middleport. Despite patrolling the area, they did not make contact with anyone matching the descriptions provided.
Later, at 7:55 AM, deputies assisted the State Highway Patrol with a traffic stop on US 33 in Pomeroy. They aided in securing the male subject involved, allowing the State Highway Patrol to handle the rest of the incident.
Around 9:58 AM, deputies conducted a well-being check on a female on New Lima Rd in Rutland. Upon arrival, they spoke with the female and her grandson, successfully resolving the situation.
At 12:59 PM, deputies were involved in a foot pursuit on SR 325 near Edmundson Rd in Vinton. Despite their efforts, they were unable to locate the subject involved. The incident is currently under investigation.
Later in the afternoon, at 5:06 PM, deputies assisted Meigs County EMS with a mental health call on State Farm Rd in Albany. They secured the scene, allowing EMS to manage the situation.
In the evening, at 7:34 PM, deputies conducted a traffic stop on SR 143 near Kingsbury Rd in Pomeroy. The driver received a verbal warning for a marked lanes violation.
Finally, at 10:51 PM, deputies responded to a report of a disabled vehicle on SR 7 near SR 248. They remained on the scene until a valid driver could take possession of the vehicle, ultimately resolving the situation without incident.
