DAYTON, Ohio – Dayton first responders were called to an unusual rescue situation Tuesday when a man climbed a tree and made suicidal threats.
Police and fire crews responded to the scene where they found the individual high in a tree, exhibiting erratic behavior. After a nearly two-and-a-half-hour standoff, authorities were able to de-escalate the situation and persuade the man to climb down safely. He sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital for evaluation.
