A local funeral home in central Ohio is bringing honor and tribute to loved ones as they take their final ride to their resting place.
Edwards Funeral Service, which services Ross, Pike, Scioto, and surrounding counties, is owned by central Ohio native Jeff Edwards. Known for their $599 direct cremations, the latest edition to the business is a 1932-era classic hearse that is captivating the community as it drives down the streets.
The 1932-era Rosewood Prinzing has the style of a car ten years after Ohio’s own President Warren G. Harding’s presidency ended.
“Our funeral home commissioned this custom vehicle to honor and serve our families as never before,” Edwards said on Wednesday. “We offer this tribute in honor of loved ones and the life they have lived.”
Edwards added that those who have passed have each lived unique and colorful pasts; a past worth recognizing, and that it is only appropriate that their life be honored with such a tribute in a car like the 1932-era Rosewood Prinzing.
Under the hood, the vehicle has been modernized for dependability for the funeral service. It features the latest General Motors V8 LS3 Corvette engine and drivetrain technology, with common GM truck components that make for ease of use and longevity.
“We are proud to serve southern Ohio. It is our honor to continue our personalized service for years to come.”
With less than 50 like it in the world, the hearse was built custom for Edwards Funeral Service by Rosewood Classic Coach, owned and operated by Richard Neal of Morrilton, Arkansas.
