FAYETTE COUNTY, Ohio — A Leesburg man who was riding a farm tractor in Fayette County was electrocuted after one of the sprayer arms hit a power line, according to reports.

911 callers reported that there was a tractor on fire in the 9000 block of Simmons Road in southern Fayette County and an unresponsive man next to it.

The tractor fire was put out by a passerby.

The man who was operating the tractor, which was pulling an agricultural sprayer, hit a power line, which energized the tractor, deputies said.

The coroner’s office ruled the cause of death accidental by electrocution.
