Columbus, OH — Six people were shot, with one of them dying at the scene during a mass shooting Saturday night.

It happened at a dollar store on Chatterton Road in southeast Columbus at around 7:30 p.m. People were gathered near the parking lot for a vigil for a person who was shot by police.

The Franklin County Sheriff’s office confirmed five people were taken to area hospitals with gunshot wounds Saturday night, while a sixth person’s body was found deceased in a car.

Law enforcement have not released any information about suspects or a motive, other than to say the shooting was a “drive-by.”
