The Waverly Police Department served a search warrant on a local business Monday, who is accused of mixing and selling their own marijuana oils.

Waverly Police Chief Zachary Dixon said that WPD served the search warrant on G-Vapor and More, located on East Emmitt Avenue Monday.

The search warrant was executed after police said they received intel that the business was allegedly trafficking in marijuana. Police said that during an undercover investigation, it was found that employees were mixing oils themselves.

“Concern was raised that the customers may be receiving unknown substances in their purchased products,” WPD said in a release.

Prior to obtaining and serving the search warrant, the Waverly Police Department made multiple undercover buys from the business, the police reported. Police said that the urgency to shut down the alleged operation was important because concerns were raised with the store’s close proximity to a local church, as well as a Recovery Council (drug addiction counseling) location.

Inside the store, officers seized “large amounts” of THC and CBD oils, as well as drug paraphernalia, the police said. In the state of Ohio, businesses are required to be an approved dispensary of THC and CBD, which this store was not, police reported.

All items seized from the search warrant will be sent to BCI for further testing. No arrests were made, but police expect results back that will let them present cases to a Grand Jury.
