The prison guard who was a teacher in Ross County and was charged with taking pills into the Chillicothe prison has had the charges bound to grand jury.
Arrested on Monday at around 11 a.m., Bradley Danner, 44, was taken into custody after a random search of prison employees. Inside his pocket were Percocet pills, troopers said.
Family members of Danner have posted online saying the pills found were his own. A Highway Patrol Lieutenant that the Guardian spoke with on Tuesday said that regardless if the man had a prescription, he could not take the pills into the prison and he would continue to face charges.
Danner was charged with a fifth degree felony and booked into jail. He was set to appear today in Chillicothe Municipal Court, but the charges were dismissed and bound over to grand jury for indictment, according to troopers.
In a strange turn of events, the employee who found the pills on Danner died Monday a couple hours later from unrelated medical complications, according to the patrol.
Its being blown out of proportion because, sadly, a man died. Of natural causes.
