Three alleged cases of Coronavirus are in Portsmouth.
It’s happening on the campus of Shawnee State University, according to a student alert text message.
The text went out to students and parents at around 7:30 p.m. on Monday saying that the three suspected cases are being quarantined.
Campus police confirmed to the Guardian that the cases are suspected-only and the three people are being quarantined off campus.
The university sent out a release:
Shawnee State University announced that three suspected coronavirus cases are under investigation on its campus. The University is working with the Portsmouth City Health Department and all persons who were possibly in contact are being quarantined. The Health Department anticipates results of testing by Wednesday evening. Shawnee State officials said there will be no interruption in campus operations at this time. The three cases are in addition to the three cases confirmed by the state earlier today near Cleveland.
