Numerous troopers and deputies were on the scene of a house on Higby Road in Ross County Sunday night.
A woman called 9-1-1 several times whispering that people were inside her home.
Deputies responded to the scene, treating it as a home invasion in progress and found several people inside, placing them at gunpoint and ordering them to their knees.
Nearly a half-a-dozen troopers responded and were assisting deputies in searching the property.
The woman was reportedly hiding in a camper on the property as she told 9-1-1 dispatchers a man was inside pouring gasoline, preparing to light her and the camper on fire.
The woman was found hiding and was taken safely into the custody of troopers and deputies.
Two people were also being detained.
It’s not exactly clear if this was an actual burglary or something mental health related. The Guardian is working to get answers.
