Sylvia M. Davis, age 61, passed away Sunday, June 20, 2021 at her home in Ashtabula. She was born August 8, 1959 in Painesville to Delpha and Bonnadene (Chamberlain) Sloan. In 1980 she married John Davis and they spent over sixteen happy years together until his passing in 1996. Sylvia worked twenty-four years as a District Manager for Family Dollar in Madison and Jefferson. She was a member of the FOE #2243 in Geneva, an avid reader and hiker, but most importantly she loved spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter Amber (Dustin) Fulton of Ashtabula: four grandchildren Trisha Ayala, Brianna Blankenship-Ayala, Abigail Davis, Hailey Fulton: three great grandchildren Rosalee Davis, Sailas Watson and Journi Hubbard. She is also survived by siblings Cindy (Ralph) Walters of Pleasantville, PA, Tom Foster of Mesa, AZ and John (Venora) Foster both of Mesa, AZ, Oscar “Odie” Sloan of NC, William (Jesse) Sloan of Geneva, DJ Brenyas of Sherman, NY, Joe (Annie) Brenyas of Rio Linda, CA, and Linda Brenyas of Clark, CA: and a cousin Pam Vettenburg of Nashville, TN. Preceded by husband, parents and a sister Barbara Brenyas-Jackson. Calling hours will be Wednesday, June 23, 2021 from 4:00 – 7:00 pm at Walker Funeral Home, 828 Sherman Street in Geneva and 5:00 – 7:00 pm Friday June 25, 2021 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday June 26, 2021 at the Dunkard Ridge Cemetery in Hillsboro. Rev. Tom Zile will officiate.
