VINTON COUNTY, Ohio — A man was arrested Friday after he sent schools in Vinton County into lockdown.
It happened after Lonnie Mace, Jr., 39, called the Vinton County High School and said that a teenaged student was going to bring a gun to school. Deputies were sent to the school, which went into lockdown.
It was later learned that Mace made up the claim after getting into an argument with a relative, who was a student at the school.
Mace was arrested by deputies after an alleged confession and was booked into the jail.
