LICKING COUNTY, Ohio — The Licking County Sheriff’s Office reported two deputies were injured when a drunk driver struck their cruiser.
Licking County Sheriff Randy Thorp said his deputies were responding to a vehicle crash shortly before noon on Friday. That is when another passing vehicle slammed into the two deputies.
According to reports, Deputy Jessica Green and Sean Corley were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the vehicle was arrested and charged with a DUI and aggravated vehicular assault. The Ohio Highway Patrol says additional charges may also be filed.
Raymond J. Snyder, 20, of Louisville, Ohio, was transported to the Licking County Jail.
The two deputies were treated and released from the hospital.
