PICKAWAY COUNTY, Ohio — Officials say an intoxicated driver led troopers on a high-speed chase Sunday.
According to the Ohio Highway Patrol, troopers received a call regarding a possible drunk driver shortly after 5 p.m.
Reports say troopers located the suspected vehicle and attempted to stop the driver along Route 62. That is when the driver fled from troopers, reaching speeds of over 100 miles per hour at times.
Reports say the chase continued south into Pickaway County.
The driver, identified as Christina Thornton of Williamsport, refused to stop even after hitting multiple vehicles.
Thompson continued to flee before crashing into an additional car.
According to the patrol, Thornton appeared to be highly intoxicated. She was taken to the local hospital for evaluation and ultimately taken to the Pickaway County Jail on multiple charges.
