HILLSBORO, Ohio — A Dayton man was recently sentenced to prison after pleading guilty to sexual battery charges in Highland County.
Matthew Henderson, 39, was indicted in October on three counts of sexual battery, all third-degree felonies, and five counts of pandering obscenity involving a minor, all second-degree felonies, according to the Highland County Press.
The indictment alleged that Henderson “did engage in sexual conduct with” a victim during two different time periods in 2020.
Highland County Common Pleas Court Judge Rocky Coss sentenced Henderson to a definite determinate term of 60 months on the first count, consecutive to 48 months on the second count, for a total sentence of nine years in prison. Henderson had jail time credit of 113 days.
In addition, Henderson will be required to register as a tier III sex offender. Tier III sex offenders must register every 90 days for life.
