ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — A growing car wash company is expanding its footprint in southern Ohio.
Ultimate Shine Car Wash is a family-owned business established in 2005 with 14 locations throughout East Tennessee and Western Virginia, with plans to put roots down in Ross and Fayette counties, among other areas in Ohio this year.
Signs went up in Chillicothe on Tuesday in front of Rural King on Bridge Street, next door to Texas Roadhouse, which announced that the carwash tunnel would be “coming soon.”
While the company will offer single-purchases for washing, they are most known for their monthly subscription-based services that offer different packages with free vacuuming. Car wash tunnels have started to become popular around the country with their perks of “freebies” and auto-bill monthly subscription services. Chillicothe already has one such company called Goo-Goo on Main Street.
“We pride ourselves in using industry-leading technology that delivers consistent quality, leaving you with a clean, dry, shiny car every single time,” Ultimate said in a release. “Our tunnel employs self-cleaning Neo Tex foam brushes, which are designed not to hold onto any coarse materials or dirt, ensuring your vehicle is meticulously handled. The Neo Tex brushes are saturated with water and bio-degradable detergents, gently washing away road grime and dirt, leaving you with a refreshed exterior.”
The company is also building a tunnel in Washington Court House next to Roosters and Home Depot. The Fayette County location will compete with another tunnel that announced last year that they were building on the opposite side of town on Columbus Avenue across from Harbor Freight. So far, construction has yet to break ground on the Blue Hippo Car Wash Tunnel.
