PICKAWAY, Ohio — The Pickaway County Visitors Bureau recently announced the launch of their new mobile phone app, “Discover Pickaway,” a program designed to assist individuals find attractions in the region.

In a partnership with Visit Widget, the app is the culmination of several integrated mobile apps which map out everything in Pickaway. The program offers suggestions for lodging, restaurants, shopping, and other activities significant to the county.

“We are eager for visitors and residents to experience the app. We have included access to Roundtown Radio within the app as well as our community calendar, making it easy to keep track of our area events,” says Nathan Wilson, Pickaway County Visitors Bureau Director.

Like the similar apps designed by visitors bureaus in Ross and Fairfield Counties, the app is used to promote events and attractions in the area, the content of which is generated through community collaboration. Additionally, “Discover Pickaway” will help individuals manage their time while visiting by helping to create a travel plan which can be shared with others.

“We are looking for businesses, event organizers, and new attractions to send us information about special events in the area so we can share it on our app and other Pickaway marketing materials,” says Jenny Rhoads, Assistant Administrator.
