CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — The identity of the body found near the flood wall in Chillicothe has been released by officials.
On Sunday, police officers and medics from the Chillicothe Fire Department responded to the area of the flood wall near Hirn and Riverside for a possible deceased person.
Witnesses told officers that the man was near the Scioto River bank.
Reports say, one person went down to check on the man and found that he had no pulse.
Officers were able to identify the individual as 53-year-old Joseph Like. Like’s body was transported by the Ross County Coroner’s Office and his next-of-kin was notified.
Officials have yet to release the cause of death, and no further details were provided at the time of this publication.
