PICKAWAY COUNTY, Ohio — The Ohio Highway Patrol is conducting an investigation into the death of a prisoner at the Correctional Reception Center in Orient.
Initial reports say that 25-year-old Trevor Barr was discovered dead in his cell from an “apparent suicide”.
Investigators have not disclosed the circumstances surrounding the discovery.
A representative of the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections said the incident is still being investigated.
Barr was serving a two-year prison sentence for child endangerment, according to court documents.
The police arrested him after one of his children was discovered outside of his Lisbon, Ohio home in the middle of winter wearing only a diaper.
