CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Funeral arrangements have been released for Ross County Deputy Lt. Mont Steele.
Steele recently passed away from an extended battle with cancer.
The calling hours for Lt. Steele will be this Sunday at Haller Funeral Home at 1661 Western Ave. from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Funeral services will begin at 11:00 am on Monday at Brookside Churches of Christ in Christian Union at 2215 Egypt Pike in Chillicothe.
According to the Ross County Sheriff’s Office, public safety vehicles wishing to attend are asked to be at the church by 10:00 a.m.
A procession will follow as Lt. Mont Steele is escorted to Grandview Cemetery. The community wishing to pay their respects can line the procession route. It will begin on Egypt Pike, continuing to Pleasant Valley Road, Route 104, High Street, Water Street, Paint Street, Main Street, Walnut Street, 5th Street, and then into Grandview Cemetery.
The procession will begin around noon on Monday.
Officials want to remind motorists that there will be rolling road closures along the procession route.
