NATIONAL NEWS — Mike Lindell, CEO of My Pillow, says the FBI seized his cell phone Tuesday afternoon while at a fast-food restaurant.
Lindell, a Trump supporter, and conspiracy theorist said on his online show, the Lindell Report, “three cars with FBI agents pulled in front of my vehicle in the fast-food parking lot and issued a search warrant for my cellphone.”
Former President Donald Trump took to his Truth Social platform, lambasting the seizure of Lindell’s phone.
“The Pillow Guy was just raided by the FBI. We are now officially living in a weaponized police state, rigged elections, and all. Our country is a laughingstock all over the world. The majesty of the United States is gone,” said Trump.
According to CNN, the FBI released a statement saying, “Without commenting on this specific matter, I can confirm that the FBI was at that location executing a search warrant authorized by a federal judge.”
Lindell initially refused to turn over the phone claiming, that he “runs his business from his cell phone.” After speaking with an attorney, the My Pillow CEO handed the mobile device over to federal agents.
