VINTON COUNTY, Ohio — A southern Ohio man is behind bars after police say he was involved in a carjacking.
Police in McArthur, Ohio responded to Vinton Greene at McArthur Park Drive on a domestic situation. Upon arrival, officers discovered that a man with a car jack handle stole a vehicle.
According to reports the alleged carjacker, later identified as 28-year-old Troy Jones, took the vehicle and traveled outside of the village of Hamden. Officials said the man then ditched that vehicle and stole another.
Jones was taken into custody after a traffic stop by the Ohio Highway Patrol.
He now faces charges of aggravated robbery, criminal damaging, and theft of a motor vehicle.
Authorities said that additional charges could be forthcoming.
