Trooper Bryan Cox named Jackson Post “Trooper of the Year”

JACKSON COUNTY, Ohio —The Jackson Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol selected Trooper Bryan Cox as the 2022 Jackson Post Trooper of the Year. Trooper Cox was chosen by his peers based on his leadership abilities, professional ethics, courteous treatment of others, enthusiastic work attitude, and cooperation with supervisors, his peers, and the public.

Trooper Cox was commissioned in 2013 as a member of the 153rd Academy Class. Prior to joining the Patrol, Bryan served in the United States Marine Corps from 2005 to 2012 as a member of the Alpha Company in Cross Lanes, West Virginia. Trooper Cox started his career with the Ohio State Highway Patrol and has remained at the Jackson Post since February of 2013. Bryan was selected as the Jackson Post Trooper of the year in 2018, he has earned the Ace Awards for auto larceny, two Criminal Patrol Awards for felony apprehensions, and numerous commendations throughout his time with the Ohio State Highway Patrol. Bryan received an Associate’s Degree, in October of 2021, from American Military University and is currently working toward completing his bachelor’s degree.

Trooper Cox resides in Jackson County and spends much of his time away from work with his wife and three young children.
