CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Officers with the Chillicothe Police Department and medics from the city’s fire department responded to the Sack n’ Save grocery store at 104 East Main Street, shortly before 1 p.m. this afternoon.
According to initial reports, a 9-1-1 caller told dispatchers that two people were suffering from a suspected overdose.
First responders arrived on the scene and provided life-saving Narcan to the individuals.
This incident is just one of several reported overdoses today.
Around 9 a.m., medics and police responded to the area of the floodwall near Riverside Drive on a female found unresponsive. The individual, officials determined, was suffering from an overdose. Narcan was given and the person regained consciousness.
