CINCINNATI, Ohio — Medpace, a clinical contract research organization, is set to expand its operations in Cincinnati, Ohio, and will create 1,500 new jobs with an associated payroll of $90 million over the next six years.
The company will invest $150 million in its expansion, which will include the construction of a new building and parking garage spanning 250,000 square feet of office space and adding 1,000 new parking spaces. The expansion will allow Medpace to increase its employment in Ohio by almost 80% and expand its operations as a clinical contract research organization.
“Medpace has grown considerably since it was founded in Cincinnati three decades ago, and the research underway here is positively impacting healthcare on a global scale,” said Governor DeWine. “Medpace’s continued growth in Ohio brings 1,500 new, high-paying jobs to Cincinnati in support of the next generation of pharmaceutical and medical innovations.”
The expansion is being supported by the State of Ohio, JobsOhio, REDI Cincinnati, and the City of Cincinnati. This marks the second expansion by Medpace in Cincinnati since 2016, adding a combined 2,150 new jobs, $125.7 million in new payroll, and $157 million in fixed asset investment.
“The Medpace expansion is a big deal for Ohio and the Cincinnati region,” said Lt. Governor Husted. “This expansion further solidifies the region as a bio-medical leader and serves as a biotech talent magnet for the region as thousands of high-paying careers develop in this sector of the economy.”
