VINTON COUNTY, Ohio — The Vinton County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of a child that occurred on Sheets McCoy Road. The incident was reported to authorities on Sunday.
According to authorities, Carl Jonas III was arrested in connection with the incident after a child was found dead. Jonas III and has been transported to the Southeastern Ohio Regional Jail, where he has been charged with tampering with evidence.
The cause of the child’s death has not been released and the evidence Jonas is accused of tampering with has not been released.
