Donald William Keller, age 85, of Delaware, Ohio, formerly of the Hillsboro area, passed away peacefully Saturday evening, January 14, 2023 at the Kobacker House in Columbus.
He was born June 9, 1937 in Columbus, the son of the late Robert F. and Frances (Freeman) Keller.
Don was a life member of the AmVets Post 61, a life member of the VFW Post 9094, the Highland Lodge #38 F. and A.M., the York Rite and the Scottish Rite Valley of Cincinnati. Mr. Keller was a proud veteran of the United States Army and had retired from the Anheuser Busch Company in Columbus. He had also spent many years as a dedicated member of the Highland County Veteran’s Honor Guard and was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman.
He is survived his wife of forty-one years, Gerlinde (Stroessner) Keller, whom he married on October 13, 1981 in Columbus. He is also survived by two sons; a daughter; a stepdaughter; grandchildren and a sister.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park, with military honors presented by the Reynoldsburg Veteran’s Honor Guard.
