VINTON COUNTY, Ohio — The Vinton County Sheriff’s Office released its daily activity report for March 21st, 2023. The report details the activities of deputies throughout the day as they responded to various incidents and patrolled the county.
At 7:57 am, deputies patrolled State Route 93 in response to a complaint of a reckless driver. Later that morning at 8:57 am, they responded to Brooks Martin Road regarding a theft.
At 10:00 am, deputies took custody of Jerico Norris on outstanding warrants out of Vinton County. Norris was transported to Southeastern Ohio Regional Jail. Around midday, at 11:27 am, deputies responded to Albright Road due to a residential burglary alarm.
Later that afternoon, at 12:13 pm, deputies responded to a non-injury vehicle crash at R&C Quickstop. A domestic complaint was reported at 3:07 pm on Lake Road, which resulted in the arrest of Timothy Sowers, who was transported to Southeastern Ohio Regional Jail.
Throughout the rest of the afternoon, deputies conducted traffic stops on State Route 93, US Highway 50, and Albright Road. They also checked on a disabled vehicle on US Highway 50 and the fairground for suspicious activity upon request.
At 8:06 pm, deputies responded to Rollercoaster Road regarding a possible overdose. They also checked an open door at Remy’s Mobile Homes and a fire on State Route 683. Later in the evening, at 9:49 pm, they responded to Old State Road regarding a theft.
Finally, deputies conducted a traffic stop on West Main Street in McArthur at 9:54 pm and responded to a brush fire on Church Street in Hamden at 10:05 pm.
