VINTON COUNTY, Ohio — The Vinton County Sheriff’s Office had a busy day on April 10, responding to a range of incidents and conducting numerous traffic stops throughout the county. Deputies were called to address suspicious activity, theft, alarms, and trespassers.
Early in the day, at 1:24 a.m., deputies investigated suspicious activity on Gorrell Road. At 7:11 a.m., they responded to a theft report on South Main Street in Hamden.
Deputies were called to the Dollar General in Hamden at 9:20 a.m. following a complaint of a suspicious vehicle. Later, at 10:34 a.m., they escorted land appraisers to a residence on Huston Road.
A residential burglary alarm on State Route 160 prompted a response at 12:17 p.m. Deputies then conducted a series of traffic stops throughout the afternoon and evening, including stops on West High Street in McArthur, U.S. Highway 50, State Route 93, State Route 160, and State Route 32.
At 6:00 p.m., deputies checked a disabled vehicle on Ponetown Road, and at 6:26 p.m., they investigated a suspicious vehicle on North Walnut Street in McArthur. A residential fire alarm on Ring Road required a response at 7:27 p.m.
Deputies continued to patrol the county, responding to a complaint of a suspicious vehicle on Thompson Road at 10:21 p.m. and ending the day with a trespassing incident on Martindill Road at 10:25 p.m.
