LOGAN, Ohio — A man was arrested after leading deputies on a high-speed chase in Hocking County on Sunday.
Deputies with the Hocking County Sheriff’s Office attempted to pull over a white 2006 Chevrolet Silverado on Lake Logan Road for a traffic stop. The driver, identified as Dillon Deible, 26, of Logan, Ohio, failed to stop and fled at a high rate of speed.
Deputies pursued Deible on Lake Logan Road and State Route 180. Deible ran over spike strips deployed by deputies, but he continued to flee. He then turned onto Pleasant Valley Road, where he continued to drive at a high rate of speed, causing other motorists to swerve off the road to avoid being hit.
Deible eventually crashed at the intersection of Pleasant Valley Road and Big Pine Road. Deputies were able to apprehend Deible, who suffered injuries from the crash. He was transported to Hocking Valley Community Hospital for treatment.
After being treated and released, Deible was transported to the Southeastern Ohio Regional Jail. He is facing charges of failure to comply with the order of a police officer, reckless driving, and operating a vehicle under suspension.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol also responded to the scene to assist with the crash investigation.
