WELLSTON, Ohio — Wellston police arrested Zachary Clark on Wednesday night after responding to a 911 call from a woman who said her boyfriend had a gun and that she needed help.
Officers arrived at the home on North Pennsylvania Avenue and detained Clark, who was found in the front yard. They then located the woman and learned that she had been the victim of a domestic violence incident during which a firearm had been discharged.
The firearm, the department said, was located inside the residence along with a spent casing, ammunition, and other items.
Clark, 28, was charged with kidnapping, domestic violence, felonious assault, and aggravated menacing. He is being held in the Jackson County Correctional Facility and is expected to be arraigned in municipal court today.
The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office and the Ohio Highway Patrol assisted Wellston police with the investigation.
