ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — Four separate homes suffered damage early Saturday morning after a house fire in Roxabel.
It happened along Third Street in the small annex of Frankfort at around 2 a.m.
Multiple people called 9-1-1 to report power lines were down across the area, and that a nearby abandoned house had caught fire. While firefighters were headed to the scene, callers advised dispatchers that nearby homes were catching on fire from embers falling from the sky.
In total, two nearby homes adjacent to the vacant house sustained minor fire damage, while the abandoned house was destroyed.
A home across the street suffered moderate damage to an RV and other vehicles in the driveway.
Numerous fire departments from two counties responded to the scene and fought the blaze.
Initial reports indicated no one was seriously injured.
