POMEROY, Ohio – On February 2nd, Meigs County Deputies were actively engaged in responding to a range of incidents throughout the county.

At 7:02 AM, a routine traffic stop on Kerr St in Pomeroy resulted in a verbal warning for the driver regarding non-functional taillights.

In the afternoon, at 03:28 PM, deputies took a report for threats and harassment on Success Rd in Reedsville. The incident is currently under investigation.

Further, at 4:11 PM, a traffic stop on SR 7 in Cheshire led to Christopher Williams being issued a citation for driving under suspension. The vehicle was entrusted to a valid driver.

At 5:00 PM, another traffic stop on Shady Cove Rd in Middleport resulted in a verbal warning for an obstructed view of the license plate.

Subsequently, at 6:12 PM, a traffic stop on Storys Run Rd in Middleport led to a verbal warning for the driver going left of center.

A more serious incident unfolded at 6:21 PM on SR 124 in Reedsville when deputies took David Roush into custody for violating a protection order. He was transported to the Middleport Jail.

Following this, at 6:45 PM, another traffic stop on SR 7 in Cheshire saw Kasey Griffin issued a citation for driving under suspension, along with a verbal warning for no license plate light.

Later in the evening, at 7:24 PM, deputies responded to a report of a suspicious person on SR 7 in Pomeroy. The situation was resolved when the individual left the location.

At 7:55 PM, an investigation was initiated based on a complaint of someone pointing a laser at traffic on Pomeroy Pike in Pomeroy. Deputies patrolled the area, finding no one engaged in such activity.

Closing in on 8:22 PM, deputies assisted with a disabled vehicle on Warehouse Rd near SR 7 in Pomeroy. They successfully helped the driver restart the vehicle.

The night continued with a traffic stop at 9:05 PM on Chester Cemetery Rd in Racine, where Rylee Fox was issued a citation for driving under suspension. A tow company was requested to collect the vehicle.
