POMEROY, Ohio — On March 6th, Meigs County Deputies were kept busy responding to a variety of calls for service throughout the day.
The first call came in at 2:01 AM, reporting a breaking and entering on SR 7 in Middleport. Deputies arrived on the scene, interviewed the victims, and took statements for a report. The male suspect had already fled before their arrival, and the incident is currently under investigation.
At 4:02 PM, deputies assisted Meigs County EMS with a mental health call on Tyree Blvd in Racine, securing the scene upon arrival. Just over an hour later, at 5:37 PM, deputies responded to a neighbor dispute on Humphreys Dr in Pomeroy. After speaking with both parties, the situation was peacefully resolved.
Shortly after, at 5:14 PM, deputies looked into a complaint of a male walking on SR 124 in Racine, with a female yelling at him. The male was located and taken to a nearby residence. At 5:37 PM, deputies assisted a male with a disabled vehicle on US 33 in Racine, helping him fix the issue.
At 7:03 PM, a traffic stop on Union Ave in Pomeroy resulted in a citation being issued to the driver, Bryan Stewart, for an expired registration. Deputies conducted a follow-up investigation on Abbott Rd in Pomeroy at 8:11 PM.
Later in the evening, at 11:04 PM, a traffic stop on US 33 in Pomeroy revealed a lost driver, whom deputies assisted with directions. Just three minutes later, deputies were called to assist Pomeroy PD with securing a scene on Wolfe Dr in Pomeroy, with Pomeroy PD handling the remainder of the incident.
