CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio — This Saturday, a unique farmers market is set to take place in Circleville. Unlike traditional markets, this one won’t be centered around fresh produce. Instead, it’s all about cannabis cultivation. With the recent legalization of marijuana growth in Ohio, this market aims to educate individuals on how to grow cannabis at home, both correctly and legally.
The event, known as the ohiocannabis.com Farmers Market, will be held at the Pickaway Agriculture and Event Center. To comply with Ohio laws, only individuals aged 21 and above are permitted to attend.
While there are currently no outlets for purchasing recreational marijuana, adults have been legally allowed to grow up to six plants at home since last December.
The market will feature various vendors who will conduct classes on the basics of cannabis cultivation, including the necessary equipment and the use of seeds and cuttings.
This is the second such market to be held in Ohio, with the first one in Cleveland attracting over a thousand attendees and around 40 vendors. The upcoming event is expected to feature over 70 vendors.
The market will run from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday at the Pickaway Agriculture and Event Center.
