CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — A local business fell victim to a nighttime heist after thieves targeted their garage, making off with a toolbox full of trouble.
Officers from the Chillicothe Police Department responded to a call on April 8th for a reported theft at a business located at 79 N Renick Ave. Upon arrival, they met with the manager of Wells Group Ready Mix, who explained the incident.
According to the manager, sometime between midnight and 1:00 am, two unidentified individuals smashed a garage window and gained entry. Once inside, they allegedly stole a variety of Milwaukee power tools and batteries before disappearing. The tools, valued at $600, belonged to an employee of the business.
Security cameras captured footage of two individuals approaching the front door before quickly moving out of view. Descriptions provided by the footage indicate one suspect wore a white ski mask, while the other was a middle-aged white male sporting a toboggan. Unfortunately, the police report states the CCTV footage resolution was too low to definitively identify the suspects.
At this time, the investigation has no further leads, but authorities are reviewing the available footage and urge anyone with information to come forward.
