ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — Residents in the Huntington Hills area along State Route 772 have raised concerns about discolored water following water main breaks this week. The issue, which has left some households with stained laundry and unclear tap water, has sparked frustration over the lack of communication from the Ross County Water Company.
One resident took to social media to voice their concerns, sharing an image of discolored laundry and questioning why no boil water advisory had been issued. “You would think they would put something on their website at least. I am even signed up for email alerts and received nothing. Can anyone explain, please?” the post read.

Another resident commented on the situation, describing their own efforts to resolve the issue after calling the water company. “They told me to run cold water for a few minutes till it starts running clear again. I had to run it for about 10 minutes before it was actually clear. The toilet took several flushes before it was clear again as well,” the commenter shared.
Despite the growing concerns, the Ross County Water Company has not issued any public advisory or provided updates on the situation. Efforts by The Guardian to reach the company for comment have been unsuccessful.
As of now, residents are urged to monitor their water quality and take precautions, such as running faucets until the water is clear or boiling water for drinking and cooking, if needed.
