KINGSTON, Ohio — A fire that broke out this afternoon at 27 Elm Street has resulted in a fatality, officials confirmed.
The call reporting the blaze came in around 1:30 p.m., prompting multiple fire crews from Kingston and surrounding areas to respond. By 1:50 p.m., emergency personnel located a person inside the burning structure.

Authorities have not yet released the identity of the deceased, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Officials say a second person was transported to Adena Regional Medical Center with minor smoke inhalation.
