CHILLICOTHE, Ohio – One of the region’s favorite places to fill up, grab a bite, and enjoy fresh-made convenience food is officially on its way to Chillicothe.

A recent EPA permit request filed by the corporation behind the popular Sheetz gas station franchise confirms plans for a new location at 1525 North Bridge Street. The company submitted a Division of Surface Water – Notice of Intent (NOI) for Coverage, indicating that the construction process is moving forward.

According to records from the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Sheetz has been approved for the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Notice of Intent permit, a crucial step before breaking ground. The permit, effective as of March 10, 2025, will remain valid until April 22, 2028, allowing time for construction and operational setup.

What This Means for Chillicothe

Known for its made-to-order food, specialty coffee drinks, and 24/7 service, Sheetz has built a loyal following across Ohio, Pennsylvania, and several neighboring states. The franchise has been rapidly expanding throughout Ohio, with new locations popping up along major highways and in growing communities.

The North Bridge Street location is in one of the city’s busiest commercial corridors, making it a prime spot for both commuters and visitors.

What’s Next?

With the permit secured, Sheetz is expected to begin construction in the coming months. While an official opening date has not been announced, similar projects in Ohio have taken between 6 to 12 months to complete.

For Sheetz fans in Chillicothe, the long wait for their favorite coffee, mac ‘n’ cheese bites, and Shmuffins is finally coming to an end. Stay tuned for more updates as the project progresses!
