PORTSMOUTH, Ohio — A multiagency drug investigation culminated Tuesday morning when authorities descended on a Portsmouth apartment, seizing a cache of suspected fentanyl worth more than $25,000 on the street and arresting a Dayton man who now faces two first-degree felonies.
Officers from the Southern Ohio Drug Task Force, backed by Portsmouth Police Department’s SWAT team, moved on 1210 Robinson Ave. just after 7 a.m. Inside the apartment, they found approximately 213 grams of suspected fentanyl, a loaded firearm, digital scales, plastic baggies and $1,135 in cash.

Allen Deangelo Moore, 26, was taken into custody at the scene. He is charged with drug trafficking and drug possession, both first-degree felonies. Moore was booked into the Scioto County Jail and is due in Portsmouth Municipal Court for arraignment at 9 a.m. Wednesday. Prosecutors are expected to present the case to a Scioto County grand jury, where Moore could face additional charges.
