COLUMBUS, Ohio — TourismOhio has released a package of new travel resources ahead of the summer season, including an updated travel guide, a summer events guide featuring 440 events statewide, and a new Ohio Golf Trail highlighting more than 180 public courses across the state.

The 2026 Ohio Travel Guide is organized into five regions and features destinations, local favorites, and hidden gems recommended by Ohioans, along with interviews with community leaders and entrepreneurs. A separate 2026 Ohio Summer Events Guide highlights five events from each of Ohio’s 88 counties, with a focus on America 250-Ohio celebrations marking the nation’s 250th anniversary, including parades, historical festivals, picnics, and fireworks.

The new Ohio Golf Trail showcases more than 180 public golf courses and highlights the state’s golf legacy, including legendary golfer Jack Nicklaus and Clearview Golf Club — the first golf course built and owned by a Black man, William “Bill” Powell. This summer also marks the 50th anniversary of the Memorial Tournament in Dublin.

Also available is the refreshed Ohio Sports Road Trip, now expanded to include football, baseball, soccer, hockey, volleyball and motorsports, along with food and entertainment recommendations. The Ohio Ice Cream Trail returns with new shops added, and the updated 100 Things to Do This Summer list highlights top attractions statewide. A new edition of Summer Charming Towns features five communities with Americana celebrations and historic character.

The summer season also carries broader significance as Ohio anticipates growing excitement around the FIFA World Cup.

“Summer in Ohio is an opportunity to discover someplace new, revisit a favorite destination, and experience the communities that make our state special,” said Lydia Mihalik, director of the Ohio Department of Development.
