CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio — Pickaway County officials closed two roadway locations Thursday morning after rising water made them impassable, according to the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office.

State Route 752 at a set of railroad tracks, along with the intersection of State Route 104 and State Route 762, were shut down due to high water, the sheriff’s office said in an advisory issued at 6:59 a.m.

Drivers are being urged to seek alternate routes until the water recedes and the roads reopen. No timeline for reopening was given.

The closures mark the latest in a string of high-water road shutdowns in the county this year. In July, Island Road was closed at a railroad underpass after similar flooding.

Residents can report emergencies by calling 911, or reach the sheriff’s office non-emergency line at 740-420-5850.
