PICKAWAY COUNTY, Ohio — U.S. Route 23 southbound is shut down at State Route 762 following a motor vehicle crash, the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office said Thursday afternoon.
The closure was reported in an advisory issued at 3:32 p.m., according to the sheriff’s office. No information on injuries or the vehicles involved was released.
It was the second roadway shutdown in the county Thursday. Earlier in the day, high water closed State Route 752 and the intersection of State Route 104 and State Route 762, also in Pickaway County, the sheriff’s office said.
Drivers are being urged to seek an alternate route until US 23 reopens. No timeline for reopening was given.
Residents can report emergencies by calling 911, or reach the sheriff’s office non-emergency line at 740-420-5850.
