LUCASVILLE, Ohio — A Dayton man is facing four first-degree felony drug charges after Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers stopped his vehicle on U.S. Route 23 and seized more than 300 combined grams of suspected crack cocaine and fentanyl, according to the Southern Ohio Drug Task Force.
Troopers stopped the vehicle near mile marker 12 in Lucasville for traffic violations at about 1:02 p.m. Monday, the task force said in a news release. During the stop, investigators seized approximately 150 grams of suspected crack cocaine and approximately 158 grams of suspected fentanyl, with a combined estimated street value of $36,960, according to the release.
Dorian Lee Dorsey, 48, of Dayton, was arrested and charged with two counts of trafficking in drugs and two counts of possession of drugs, all first-degree felonies, the task force said.
The stop came about 10 hours before a separate traffic stop on State Route 104, also in Lucasville, in which troopers arrested a second Dayton man on comparable trafficking and possession charges, according to the task force.
Dorsey was booked into the Scioto County Jail and was scheduled to be arraigned in Portsmouth Municipal Court at 9 a.m. Tuesday, according to the release. The case will be forwarded to the Scioto County Prosecutor’s Office to be presented to a Scioto County grand jury for consideration of additional felony charges, the task force said.
Scioto County Sheriff David Thoroughman and Portsmouth Police Chief Debby Brewer announced the arrest jointly, saying it stemmed from a coordinated investigation between the Southern Ohio Drug Task Force and the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Suspects are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
