PICKAWAY COUNTY, Ohio — U.S. Route 23 southbound is closed at the Pickaway-Franklin county line following a response by Harrison Township Fire, the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office said Thursday morning.

The closure was reported in an advisory issued at 11:05 a.m., according to the sheriff’s office. No information on the nature of the incident, injuries or a timeline for reopening was included in the release.

It is the latest shutdown of the heavily traveled corridor in the county this year, following an August closure of the southbound lanes at State Route 762 after a crash.
